Preserving Eagle Hunting Culture in Mongolia

Central Asian nomads have tamed and used eagles for hunting for thousands of years. This culture has been blurring and completely disappeared in many countries. But in Mongolia the tradition is still kept, a special place because of its unique nature and Kazakh people’s pertinacious effort. I teamed up, the “Mongolian Travel Photographer Association” /MTPA/, Non-profit Organization are a community of photographers who help indigenous people of Mongolia for keeping their unique cultures which are vanishing into this modern world. We do so by running seminars, teaching photography ethics and story-telling to local amateur photographers and donate high quality photographs to some other Non-profits.
